The freedom to play anything. Up until now, music notation for the sanshin has always used Chinese characters called kunkunshi - a system which is unfamiliar to many, and may turn people away from playing the sanshin. Don't be scared, the Sanshin is easy to play!
To solve this problem, we give you a simple way to play any song using guitar TAB or classical sheet music notation. We've added labels to the neck(sou) of the sanshin to indicate frets, giving you 13 semi-tones to play with. And we've also made a great guide showing you all the chord shapes, along with some fun songs to get you started.
