I spent Thursday and Friday of last week away from work, as I listened to the sounds of a thousand wailing ghosts battering against the glass sliding doors of my apartment in Nakama. Typhoon Chaba stopped by for a quick visit at the end of the Okinawan Typhoon season (normally July to October).

Although it is only a 35/40 minute drive from the Asoviva shop in Yomitan, it is still pretty dangerous due to the high velocity winds and heavy rain. And I only have a little Suzuki Alto to drive after all!

Unfortunately I don’t have a frontline typhoon snap to share with you (doh!), so I’ll just leave you with a shot of Natsu-san, one of the staff here at Asoviva who talks/corresponds with Japanese customers.

It’s not really the same, right?
